I'm gonna try not to break 70c, but will the card be ok under higher temps than that? Network theory sucks. Every other game i've seen they are identical. And indeed, XT cards have been found to not overclock as high on the core as XT PE cards.

they don't perform the same even if they are clocked to the same speeds ... You have to be on 1600x1200+AA+AF to register a notable difference, and as this bench shows the driver can have a big impact. very marginal and the price difference ain't as small as it suggest #6 edmundoab, Nov 10, 2004 NJDevil Senior member Joined: Jun 10, 2002 Messages: 952 Likes Received: 0 what Reply With Quote 10-23-2004,05:22 PM #6 craig588 View Profile View Forum Posts Xtreme Guru Join Date May 2004 Location the cold place Temp: 5C Posts 3,764 Tournaments Joined 0 Tournaments Won http://divxeo.com/difference-between/difference-between-these-two-hd-7770s.html Reply With Quote 06-12-04,01:57 PM #5 DanIdentity View Profile View Forum Posts Member Join Date May 2004 I didn't say they are out.

I should say barely like 2-3fps faster. In windows, it runs at stock speeds, and temp never goes above 35C, with fan at 50% (inaudible as far as im aware). I will need to try what you did with the games running the overclock and play with the fan control. http://divxeo.com/difference-between/difference-between-sdram-and-ddr-ram.html the X850XT is 520/1120!

there's 2 kinds of X800XT PE around one that is 520/560 and one 526/576 or something My Powercolor X800XT PE is 520/560 default and the box does say Platinum Edition http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...d.php?t=326131 Click to expand... Cos I have an X800XT and thinking of flashing it to X800XTPE. The only other difference between the cards, while not physically is the higher core and memory speed as well as the inclusion of 16 pipelines instead of 12 which helps push memory is not as important as it used to be and the core speed difference is pretty small (only 4%) #5 Concillian, Nov 10, 2004 edmundoab Diamond Member Joined: Apr I think...

Are you using ATI Tool or ATI Tray Tools? I think the comparisons between 850xt, PE, & 6800 SLI are sorta pointless myself. If its just clock speeds, I might just run it at those speeds and forget about flashing it. Except for HL2, there they seem to be slightly faster.

I believe its rated as 1.25gig, so maybe ill push it a little further; just did ati tool artifact test for 1h 10min, no errors @ 540/600.
