I can confirm that as of today this method works on a fresh install of windows 7 with all the latest updates installed. All the drivers installed perfectly fine except my wireless isn't working and in my device manager there is an Other Device with a ? It turns out that the internal wireless adapter was an Atheros and not any of the ones dell had on their site. I noticed on xp and win7 big differences on internet and other drivers downloaded by Driver Robot and by DriverGenius.

I tried the drivermax as well with a restore of the xp driver but that also failed.
