The system has ran for a whole day, and I have been using it for about three hours with no mouse or keyboard lockups happening. I am currently running an x2 6000+, 4gb ram, two 1tb drives, one 160gb, one 500gb, 8800gtx, 650w corsair ps, on a gigabyte board (forget the exact model) with the cpu I'm not over-clocked at all. I have my mouse and keyboard attached to the usb ports in the back. My mouse will also freeze regardless of which USB port I have it plugged into and unplugging it and plugging it back in have no effect. So i shut everything down other than one ff window. Any help on this situation would be greatly appreciated. View 13 Replies .

Luckily I had dapper installed also so for the moment I'm using it and avoiding the updates. The weird thing is that i got to play the campaign for about a day and a half before it would start freezing 10 or less minutes into single player. Last night I tried booting Ubuntu Dapper kernel 2.6.15-27 with the boot option pci=routeirq. Also i have my os on the 160gb along with most of my programs with the two tb drives as media storage and the 500gb as a backup drive. I can't install anything without the computer freezing up throughout the install. It's been doing that a lot lately, maybe 50% of the time. Yesterday I got a fairly large list of updates and got my hopes up but alas the problem hasn't gotten any better. Also occurs when dual booted to linux.
