Did you replace the HDD with the correct size HDD. And/or, does BIOS need to be rearranged to look at the CD-Drive as primary and the hard drive as secondary until I get WinXP installed from the CD that came with So, I then pulled out the HDD and placed it in a usb converter to see if the HDD is bad but it works fine on other computers. Suggested Questions/Answers : Both Drivers for CD Roms wont work for Dell Dem 2400 The two devices are both hooked to your secondary IDE channel.
