Well it seems that I bought the same card you have. Also, I have read that if I update by BIOS it then give an option for disabling the on-board graphics. You can disable the intel intergrated graphics by going to: control panel/system/hardware/device manager....from there, right click on Intel(R) ..to disable (on my Dell I found both card and Intel(R) enabled with Dec 14, 2005 #4 wraydp TS Rookie Topic Starter Thanks for the replies. I removed the video card and I'm back to normal. Since I'm too cheap/in debt, I would just like to do what I can to the relatively sturdy little tank she has. I have heard of agp=off, but I'm not exactly sure if it will help in this case or if it's even a valid parameter. good stuff!! That didnt work but there were additional instructions posted somehwere else on the board that DID work, so I finally got the freaking video card to work. I can't remember the cache size off the top of my head but it's either 256kb or 512kb.This cheapy system only has a single system fan. How do I know if my new ATI card is working properly?
I'd also like to get a heat sink and cpu fan. For the nVidia card you can get ForceWare drivers from : filehippo.com....seems to make card faster.
