Removing the new 2032 CMOS battery, brushing away a small amount of dust and pushing the battery clip down more resulted in the CMOS/Checksum error going away for awhile. Is it a monitor power saving option that is interfering? To fix it, you need to gather a few tools. Cmos Battery Failure Even After Replacing most mb i worked on the + side with the cr203 show up and the other side is facing down into the cmos battery slot. I dont know if i am in te wrong thread or not. check these guys out I manually set it to show the time I need.
