Can't Get Wine Installed To Ubuntu (8.04)
As far as I'm concerned they are no longer supported on Ubuntu according to something I read somewhere. The folders are now much, MUCH better than they used to be though and easier to locate for the casual user. -Many things are incompatible… in a way. If you successfully install the game, do the following - from terminal cd ~/.PlayOnLinux/configurations/installed/ nano Conquer\ Online and add '#' in line 4. If your bored, toss in a live CD (optionally install to a USB drive you have sitting around), tell yourself NOT to boot back into windows a week or two, and Installing PlayOnLinux: Find it in Ubuntu Software Center, or Run sudo apt-get install playonlinux Using PlayOnLinux: Instead of double-clicking the .exe (which launches it with WINE), run PlayOnLinux application. In some cases it has significantly better results, yet it is not available for free. If it is an installer, it should then run as it would in Windows.
